The Nordic Council of Ministers’ Office in Latvia in cooperation with the International Summer School of Photography (ISSP) invited to presentation UNDISCOVERED TRUTH by the Finnish photographer Ville Lenkkeri on 10 August, 19.00 at the premises of the Nordic Council of Ministers’ Office in Latvia, 13/3 Marijas Str. (Bergs bazaar), Riga. Ville Lenkkeri, one of the most renowned photographers of the new generation, presented his creative projects Reality in the Making (2006) and The Place of No Roads (2009). The conversation hosted the ISSP artistic director Baiba Tetere.
Ville Lenkkeri represents the Helsinki School of photography, which has succeeded in turning contemporary Finnish photography into an outstanding cultural export. The photographer’s refined way of playing with reality and fiction continually leads the viewer onto thin ice. His works have been exhibited internationally in such venues as the Gallery Taik (Berlin, Germany); the Kulturhuset (Stockholm, Sweden); the Point of View Gallery (New York, USA) etc. More information: www.villelenkkeri.com.
