In the Nordic countries 11 November is celebrated as the Nordic Climate Day. This particular day was chosen to draw the attention of children and youngsters as well as their parents and teachers to environmental problems in their immediate surroundings, to examine and be aware of them and to reflect around the possible solutions to the impediments of climate change. Discussions on climate change, presentations of the implemented Nordic-Baltic environmental projects, the available support programs and considerations about the future – such is the content of the Nordic Climate Day. One day - many solutions! taking place at the Nordic Council of Ministers´Office in Latvia on 9 November 16:00. The event will begin with a brief introduction to the Nordic Council of Ministers´(NCM) general policy on climate and environment issues, presented by Kārlis Valters, Advisor at the NCM Office in Latvia.
