From 28 - 30 April, a storyteller from Norway Ivanir Sibilla Hasson will visit Latvia to meet with youngsters at the Integrated Library of Valmiera and Jelgava City Library, the Valmiera Pārgauja Gymnasium and the Grammar School of Nordic Languages in Riga.
Ivanir Sibylla Hasson is a professional performer, storyteller and clown.
In 1989 she founded the theatre group, Cirkus Sibylla. She has participated in more than 20 different theatre and storytelling performances, mainly for children, in collaboration with various international artists. Since 1991 she has been running a circus school for children and has dedicated much of the past 7 years to work with circus for children with special needs and children of refugees. Ivanir has many years of experience working with children at risk, both as a storyteller, circus teacher and clown. She has developed a method with intuitive pedagogy, which she teaches through storytelling workshops internationally. She is also involved with the voluntary organisations: she leads Nordic ALBA Norway, a storytelling organisation focused on healing and reconnective storytelling, she is a member of European Storytelling Peace council, and is a core member of Tellers without Borders.
