Seminar New Scandinavian Design – changes and new trends from Sweden and neighboring countries will take place on 25 October, 10.00 in the Riga Art Space. Scandinavian design has for a long time been equivalent to plain minimalism but with the new trends also this changes. In this seminar Stefan Nilsson will point out the most important changes in trend categories that fall in themes like Howdy Cowboy, Made here and the glamorous and colourful trend Falcon Crest.

Stefan Nilsson is today the leading trendspotter in the Scandinavian region. Travelling the world he scouts new design talents and producers. New trends and other finds are reported both to companies who want help, but Stefan also reports for media such as Sweden’s largest morning show TV4 Nyhetsmorgon, radio and printed magazines. He is based in Stockholm where he is the owner of trend and PR agency Trendgruppen, as well as a gallery for design – Designgalleriet. Previously Stefan worked for Swedish Society of Crafts and Design, and had a design store in the center of Stockholm. www.trendgruppen.se

    Registartion until October 20, janis.gailitis@lma.lv
