    From 2 until 4 May, Riga will be hosting the World Press Freedom Day events, which is one of the largest and most widely known UNESCO initiatives.

    The Latvian National Library will be the venue of an international conference on press freedom and freedom of speech under the title “Let Journalism Thrive! Towards Better Reporting, Gender Equality and Media Safety in the Digital Age”, which is also supported by the Nordic Council of Ministers’ Office in Latvia.
