On the 11th and 12th of October, the Riga Conference 2019 will take place again. The international relations experts and leaders from all around the globe will gather in the Latvian National Library in Riga to discuss key regional, international security, and policy issues.
The conference aims to create a positive environment for exchanging views and opening up discussions. Over the past decade, the Rīga Conference has established a name for itself not only on a national but also on a regional level – since 2006, the conference has been a meeting place for countless leaders and experts from around the world.
At this year’s Riga Conference, visionary minds will exchange perspectives on a wide range of issues affecting the contemporary political sphere. The topics covered will span, among others: the challenges NATO is facing reaching its 70th anniversary, changes in Europe’s political elites, how the digital age transforms political power, the West’s relations with Russia, and how new powers are shaping up regions of influence.
During the Riga Conference 2019, eleven different discussion sessions will be held.
Live stream from the Rīga Conference will be possible on the Rīga Conference official website.
The Rīga Conference is organised jointly by the Latvian Transatlantic Organisation, the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Latvia, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Latvia.
