The European Union – Eastern Partnership Local Leaders’ Forum “Solidarity and cooperation: how to be stronger together the coming years?” will be held on 12 November at 9:00 (CET) as an online event on Zoom platform. Forum is organized by the Latvian Association of Local and Regional Governments (LALRG) in cooperation with the European Commission, Nordic Council of Ministers’ Office in Latvia, and Riga City Council. The forum Working languages - Latvian, English, Russian (simultaneous interpretation will be provided).
The European Union – Eastern Partnership Local Leaders’ Forum is taking place already the second year in a row. 2020 is a crucial year to give strong platform for the municipalities to inform about their interests regarding the Eastern Partnership policy after the publication of the “European Commission publication on the Eastern Partnership policy beyond 2020”. Discussions will be held on Eastern Partnership policy beyond 2020, followed by two panel discussion sessions – on Local and regional governments’ contribution to the European Green Deal and Public reforms and SDGs’ implementation. In the afternoon wil be held the discussion “The role of youth in policy and civic participation”.
