A new application round for the Nordic-Baltic Mobility Programme for Public Administration is now open until October 31, 2022. The purpose of the programme is to promote and strengthen cooperation, exchange of knowledge, and networking between public administration structures on all administrative levels in the Nordic-Baltic Region. The programme aims to facilitate the harmonization of more efficient working methods in the public sector. The overall goal is to increase the global competitive power of the region.
We want to emphasise that you can apply for mobility support to go on an experience exchange visit to the Nordic countries as well as to invite colleagues from the Nordic and Baltic countries to a work seminar in Latvia. Visits by Nordic state or local government specialists to their cooperation partners in twinning municipalities or state administration institutions could also occur.
The programme covers 60 percent of travel and living expenses. Estonia, Iceland, Lithuania, Latvia, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Denmark, Åland, the Faroe Islands, and Greenland are all included in the programme. One central requirement for Latvian applicants to receive funding is that participants from at least two Nordic countries are involved in the project.
We present a short video testimonial where Timurs Thomsons, chairman of the board of the Liepaja concert hall "Lielais Dzintars" and customer service manager Elīna Kundziņa as well as Līga Mekša, project manager of the Ropaži region, share their experience using the Nordic-Baltic Mobility Programme for Public Administration (in Latvian). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5kg-8GgtsB4
