Culturability BSR Phase II - Culture for Sustainable Development in the Baltic Sea Region is one of the Flagships under the EU Action Plan for the Baltic Sea Region.
The aim of the project is to build knowledge on culture as a driver for sustainable development. On April 14-15, 2016 the project will have the first kick-off meeting in Rendsburg to introduce the Culturability BSR Phase II, which will be followed by 6 workshops and a final meeting in 2017. The goal of the project is to build knowledge on the three themes: urban social inclusion/cultural planning, sustainable cultural tourism/innovation and gaming/digital tools for sustainability and their interrelations. Through sharing knowledge of participant practices, experiences and ideas in relation to the above mentioned themes, the project will build a platform for further cooperation on culture and sustainability in the Baltic Sea Region.
The project is led by the Nordic Council of Ministers in close cooperation with the Ministry of Justice, Cultural and European Affairs of Schleswig-Holstein, the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage of Poland, ARS Baltica, Region Skåne, the Danish Cultural Institute and several other ministries and partners across the Baltic Sea.
