The overall objective of the Nordic-Baltic Mobility Programme “Culture” is to enhance cultural and artistic collaboration in the Nordic and Baltic countries supporting long- and short-term network building, artists’ residencies and mobility of professional art and culture practitioners in all artistic fields. In 2018, Latvian applicants submitted 96 applications, of which 26 were granted support. The approved Latvian applications were divided in the following way: 21 individual or small group mobility grants, two short-term network projects and three artists’ residencies. The total amount of support to Latvian projects was more than 150 thousand euro, of which approximately half the amount was awarded to artists´ residencies projects.
