The book "Kompass vienmēr rāda uz ziemeļiem/ The compass always points North" by the Nordic Council of Ministers' Office in Latvia was nominated as the best designed book in the nomination “Documentary Publications” of the book design competition “Zelta ābele” (Golden Apple Tree) in 2021.
The Latvian Publishers' Association organizes the competition "Zelta ābele" since 1993, and the best designed books are annually announced in the following nominations: “Poetry”, “Prose”, “Documentary Publications”, “Children Books”, “Scientific Books”, “Reference Literature”, “Textbook”, “Picture Album”, and “Art Book”.
