The second X-industry hackathon in Latvia was held on 2–30 October attended by companies from various industries - Latvian power grid operator "Sadales tīkls", Gas Station "Geskāns", Children’s Clinical University Hospital, module-building factory "Forta PRO", "Inducont" Ltd., "Stats Serviss" Ltd., Association "Lanīda". They took up new challenges, experimented, and found digital solutions to their business problems and admitted that going digital is the keystone of development in any industry.
Organisers of this hackathon had selected the best industry experts to deliver valuable lectures on business development, fundraising, the art of presentation, and how to implement innovation, all aimed at helping the teams achieve results more successfully and acquire knowledge in developing their business.
The X-industries hackathon was supported by the Latvian Ministry of Economics and by the Nordic Council of Ministers’ Office in Latvia.
Latvia’s first X-industries hackathon was held on 6 March -10 April 2018. X-industry hackathons are practical events, introduced to encourage cross-industry dialogue and foster corporate innovations.
