On May 13, at 9:30, we are organising the seminar “Youth and the promotion of mental health. An insight into the experience of Latvia and Iceland ”, which will take place at the premises of the Nordic Council of Ministers' Office in Latvia, Riga Marijas Street 13/3 (Berga Bazārs). The seminar is organized by the Nordic Council of Ministers' Office in Latvia in cooperation with the Teenage Resource Centre. At the seminar, we will provide insights, share experiences and jointly reflect on the following issues: Mental health problems among adolescents. Who can help? The Public Support Service. Young people's own vision. Importance of a personalized approach. Youth contribution to the development of services and political guidelines for their life. Developing evidence-based interventions. The Role and Cooperation of Research. Learn how to recognize and deal with the stigma of mental illness. In the seminar will participate Daina Mezecka, from the Nordic Council of Ministers' Office in Latvia, head of the Teenage Resource centre Nils S. Konstantinovs, expert by experience and Young Mental Health Promoter from Iceland Magnús Friðrik Guðrúnarson and Senior Expert at Ministry of Welfare Kristine Lasmane. The event will be filmed.
