On October 25-26, during RIGA FASHION WEEK, there will be a seminar and a workshop organized by the Baltic Fashion Federation within the framework of the international project "United Fashion" on topic "Digitization. Brand Management". Fashion designers, bloggers and influencers, fashion department students and anyone interested are welcome to attend the seminar. The seminar and workshop will be held in English.
"Considering that the development of the digital environment is very fast nowadays and its latest technologies are being applied in various business fields, including fashion industry, we have invited the experienced creative industry and also the fashion industry professionals to lead this seminar and workshop, to share real experience from a practical point of view," says Elena Strahova, the President of the Baltic Fashion Federation.
“Digitization. Brand Management” is a seminar aimed at providing an international, innovative and practical vision of fashion brand management in this fast-paced digital era. On October 25 this seminar will be opened by Beate Stivrina, representative of BOLD Concept store, who will give an introduction to Latvian and Baltic fashion market and its trends. Jonathan Chippindale from UK, co-founder and CEO of creative agency Holition that offers innovative digital solutions to brands, will be talking about how brands use technology to communicate. Issues related to the fundamental tactics for emerging brands will be discussed at the Fashion Marketing Workshop, lead by Kristina Dimitrova from UK. Ms Dimitrova is a founder of INTERLACED, which is a media and events platform highlighting the most innovative solutions for the future of fashion, retail and beauty.
The next day, October 26, Latvian architect and designer living in Oslo – Vesma Kontere McQuillan, a professor at the Westerdals Oslo School of Arts, Communication and Technology, will talk about the success stories of Norwegian fashion brands and how this can be applied to Latvian designers practice. In the course of the day, the Latvian strategist Kristaps Silins will perform with his presentation “Strategy of NO”. Professor Fiorenza Sarotto from the famous Italian Fashion School – Istituto Marangoni – will talk about how to shift from product point of view to brand point of view and the role of digitisation in this process. Within the framework of this seminar, successful Latvian fashion brands – Amoralle and Inch2 - will also share their practical success stories.
The seminar and the workshop “Digitization. Brand management” will take place on October 25 at 11:00-15:30 and October 26 at 9:00-13:00. Location: Radisson Blu Latvija Hotel, Elizabetes Str 55, Riga. Both of them will be held in English. Participation fee – 20€.
