Europe is purposefully pursuing the Green Course to become the first climate-neutral continent in 2050. The goals are quite ambitious, and now the national targets set by each Member State must be in the context of the common development policy of the European Member States. How does Latvia look against the background of other member states? How will the energy sector develop and how will it affect the people of Latvia? What is immediate action and what should we think about in the next decade?
The conference “Energy 2020” will take place on 28 October 2020, in Riga, in person and online and will discuss the place of Latvia on the map of the European Energy and Climate Change Plan, the development directions of the internal market and future prospects, as well as the increasingly active transition to the use of renewable energy resources in energy production.
Klaus Skytte from the Nordic Energy Research will talk about the theme “Potential for transnational cooperation to strengthen the energy sector”.
