As part of the project "With a Little Help from My Friends", the comics publishing house "kuš!" in cooperation with the Nordic Council of Ministers' Office in Latvia invites you to a guest lecture by three Ukrainian comic artists and illustrators on 27 June at 18:00 at the Nordic Council of Ministers' Office.
Anna Sarvira, Bohdana Zaiats and Zhenya Oliinyk will give an insight into how their art is being made at a time when Russia has invaded Ukraine.
Anna Sarvira is an illustrator from Kyiv, currently based in Germany. She is co-founder of the Pictoric Illustrators Club and has also done illustrations for UNICEF, the British Council and Coca-Cola. @anna.sarvira
Bohdana Zaiats is a comic artist and illustrator. Currently studies at the Philosophical Department of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv (KNU) and at Kyiv Academy of Media Arts (Kama). Works published in kuš!, Strapazin, and Stripburger.

Zhenya Oliinyk is an illustrator and a comic artist from Kyiv. She's also a cultural studies researcher and a former journalist. Her comics have been published in The New Yorker, The New York Times, The Economist, and Strapazin.

The project "With a Little Help from My Friends" is supported by the Nordic House in Reykjavik. It will also feature an illustration workshop, three residencies for Ukrainian artists, comics and drawing workshops for children, and an exhibition.
