To celebrate the Centenary of the Republic of Latvia, H.E. President of the Republic of Iceland Mr Gudni Th. Johannesson will pay a state visit to the Republic of Latvia from 15 to 18 November 2018.
On this occasion the President of Iceland will deliver a lecture “Can Small States Make a Difference? Iceland’s Support for Baltic Independence, 1990-1991” on Friday, November 16, 2018, at 2.00 p.m., Small Hall of the University of Latvia, Raiņa Blvd.19. The lecture is organised by the University of Latvia in cooperation with the Nordic Council of Ministers’ Office in Latvia.
